Executive Director, CMDA
Mitch Mitchell is the Executive Director of the Chrysler Minority Dealers Association, Inc. (CMDA), a national automotive trade association. He has responsibility for organizational strategy and management; business growth, support, training and member programs; government and auto industry relations; diversity and inclusion strategy development; and corporate social responsibility and philanthropy initiatives.
Prior to assuming his leadership position with CMDA, Mr. Mitchell was a corporate executive with the automotive manufacturer FCA US LLC (formerly Chrysler Group) where he worked for 18 years. While at FCA, Mr. Mitchell served in various dealer network roles including Vice President, FCA Realty LLC & Head of Dealership Branding; Head of Dealer Network Diversity and Market Investment Programs; Head of Government Fleet Sales.
Mr. Mitchell also received a CPA's license in the State of Michigan while working for the international accounting firm Price Waterhouse LLP (now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers)
Mr. Mitchell is a retired army officer and field artillery commander, having spent 23 years in the infantry and field artillery combat arms branches of the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserves and Michigan National Guard.
Mr. Mitchell is a native of Detroit, Michigan and has received a bachelor's degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and an MBA from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI.
Mr. Mitchell's hobbies include running (he has completed seven marathons), reading, watching college football and spending time with his family.
